“Now you can remain as you are.”
Ashtavakra Gita 9.8

The Ashtavakra Gita is a dialogue between the sage Ashtavakra and King Janaka about the Self that is already free. This line ends a verse on desire: once desire is seen for what it is and let go, one can remain as one is.

The line

The line comes from the Ashtavakra Gita, in John Richards's translation, which he gave to the public domain (1994), a text of the Advaita Vedanta tradition.

The words appear exactly as that translation gives them. The translation is in the public domain, and the text itself is in The Sacred Act’s library.

Shipping and returns

Your piece is made when you order it and ships within 2 to 7 business days, and embroidered pieces take the longer end of that. Delivery takes 5 to 12 business days in the United States, where shipping is complimentary, and 8 to 25 elsewhere, for a flat $20.

Because each piece is made for you, we cannot take back a piece for a change of mind or size. If yours arrives flawed or damaged, write to support@thesacredact.com within 30 days with a photograph, and we will replace it at no cost. Read the full policy.
